Yes. We'll manage everything including concept development, stylistic direction and storyboarding - right the way through to logistical planning, licensing, casting, crew and travel. And, of course, the editing, colour grading and sound design. At every stage, we'll check in with you for feedback and sign-off, ensuring we're all on the same page.
Video production can be used in so many ways; explainer videos, about us videos, corporate videos, how-tos, TV & cinema commercials, and of course, social video. Video production can be standalone (entirely film), or a video comprising of both film and animation. In terms of raw elements of video production, now we're getting into the more technical aspects, like camera set-up, dolly, drone, jib, actors, locations, props (the list goes on...). But don't worry, in our initial Discovery call, we'll explore the best route for your video, and the tools we need for the job.
You will own the copyright. Once the video production process has been completed and the film signed-off, you're free to use the media in any way you like. That said, we need to make sure from the outset that you'll have the correct licences for how you intend to use the media. For example, standard licensing, such as for voice over or music, generally won't cover advertising usage.
In the initial Discovery call, we'll establish with you how you plan to use the media. We'll then create a plan for producing media that meets the specifications of the platforms you indeed to use. As a general rule, you're free to upload the media to any platform of your choice (their restrictions permitting). However, tailoring media for each platform will yield much better results.
There are just so many variables involved, such as locations, actors, props, number of filming days etc, that it's hard to give a figure that's useful. That said, we've created a guide to give you a sense for how much different types of productions cost. Head over to our contact us page. Also, feel free to share examples that have inspired you as this can be incredibly useful for gauging expectations.
Typically, we need around 6-12 weeks for a standard corporate video. For commercials, depending on the approach, we typically need 12-16 weeks. It really comes down to the variables involved. For example, if we're using actors, we need to factor time for casting. Some shoots might require specialist set-up too, such as permissions for closing public roads/areas. We'll walk you through the process in more detail on our initial Discovery call.
We’ve built an rock-solid process video production that typically spans 6-10 weeks. In the initial Discovery call, we'll establish the best creative route based on your brief, budget and brand requirements. From here, we walk you through our thinking at every stage and show you how it will all come together - inc concept, script, stylistic routes, storyboard and edit. We'll also keep you informed of all the logistics and timings involved with the production itself. And, of course, sort all the permissions and licences for you.
As a general rule, we recommend you don't exceed 90 seconds for website content. For commercials, typically these are 15 or 30 seconds. However, some advertising platforms have specific requirements we need to adhere to. That said, there are times when you'll want longer content, such as thought-leadership content, or how-tos.
Wherever you like. That said, depending on the initial brief, there may be restrictions relating to licensing. For example, for some paid advertising channels, voice over and music licence fees are more expensive, so unless we've paid for the additional licensing, restrictions may apply. It's also worth noting that we'll want to design media for chosen channels from the ground up to make them most effective.
Around 6-10 weeks. Largely, it depends on how much time you'd like to review each stage of the video production process before moving on. For example, some clients are happy with a 2 day sign-off period, whilst others need 4-5. We'll discuss your needs and the best timeline in our initial Discovery call.

In our Discovery session, we'll explore where you intend to use the media and then suggest the best approach. For example, if we're creating an Explainer Video, we'll suggest we create some short, looping snippets from the main animation to use on social. These have been shown to be far more effective than posting the full video, however, we encourage you to post all media on social as we've also seen some fabulous results using long-form media too.
Yes, and it's vital we do. Every part of the production process is always a collaboration with you, so we're more than happy to explore creative routes and pre-prepared scripts. However, the narrative forms the backbone of the creative, and there's lots of nuances that will impact how the video flows, so we'll want to make sure the concept/script aligns with creating exceptional video content.
As many as you like. Seriously. Most production companies will limit you to 3 amends, but we think this is crazy. It's crucial we're all happy with each stage of the process, or we'll be running up hill from there on. That said, we do have one rule. Once you've signed off a stage, we may add additional fees if we're asked to revise that stage later. For example, if we've completed the animation and you ask for a change to the visual storyboard, we'll often charge additional for this as it requires a rework of the animation. It very, very rarely happens though thanks to our rock-solid video production process.
Yes. From the very outset we'll establish if you intend to use the media internationally. For these audiences, we'll want to ensure the script doesn't include any colloquialism or phrases only UK audiences will understand. We'll translate the script into your chosen language and provide you with VO samples. We'll then retime the video to perfect match the intended script pacing.
An Explainer Video tends to be a bit of an umbrella term that encompasses lots of marketing goals. For us, we define an Explainer Video as media designed to increase website conversion rates. They can be used on social media platforms to great effect, however, creating short snippets from the main video tend to be much more effective - and we recommend tailoring them for each platform.

Animated explainer video production typically takes around 6-10 weeks from the discovery call through to the final sign-off. Creativity can’t be rushed. We want to make sure that at each stage everyone has given feedback, we’re crystal clear on the direction we need to take and you’re completely comfortable before moving to the next stage.
